The ESG together with GONHS and FoE will this year be celebrating World Earth Day by focussing on our environment and the areas which concern us the most.
On Saturday 22nd April a stall will be set up at the Piazza where information will be provided on the work being done by the ESG and GONHS in their respective areas. FoE will have a stall at Casemates too.
This year World Earth Day looks at climate change and global warming as its main focus and it is important that we, in Gibraltar, use this opportunity to look at how we move around and how we can cut down on car and motorbike use. It is also good for our fitness levels!! A leaflet is currently being distributed throughout Gibraltar announcing a walk for clean air which will begin at Casemates at 11.00am.
For more details on this as well as a short cycle ride please contact:
Joe Pons on 54007621
The ESG will be pleased to interact with the public and will have on display information on the various aspects of its work to protect the environment, reduce pollution and raise awareness, the three main areas of its endeavours.
GONHS is having its biodiversity year and will have on display an array of literature promoting the work being done by them to date on this and on other projects.
We look forward to seeing you at our stall and to discussing these issues with you on Saturday 22nd April!!
From 10.00am to 1.30pm Piazza.
