WITH EQUIPMENT IN PLACE THE BAY BRIGADE WILL NOW TAKE OFF!!
The ESG is delighted to announce that the prototype for the bucket to be used for air quality sampling is now ready and waiting for Denny Larson, leader of the global bucket brigade, to use when he arrives in Gibraltar on the 6th May.
The intention of the bucket brigade is to persuade industry everywhere to reduce unnecessary pollution by producing its own independent and reliable scientific data to show unsafe levels of toxins in our air.
As well as addressing our schools and community, Denny will be holding training sessions with dedicated teams on both sides of the border on how, where and when to take the samples. We expect this weekend to be ground-breaking in enabling ordinary citizens to use a recognised sampling technology to verify whether the air they are breathing is toxic and dangerous.
The ESG, supported in this action by associated groups such as the GWA and GONHS and backed by our generous sponsors, whom we thank for making this a reality, hope that many will take advantage of the public address Denny will be giving on Monday 10th May at the Youth Centre, at 8.00 pm, to hear what he has to say about our situation and what, we, as affected citizens, can and should do about it.
The ESG gives special thanks to Hassans as its main sponsor and to Bland Group of Companies, GONHS, Alwani Trust and the Gibraltar Women’s Association for contributing significantly towards the campaign. The local community and SM Serruya, and MH Bland have also given donations which will all help realise the campaigns objectives. Further funds are needed so please donate what you can. This campaign aims to prevent illnesses – it is vitally important –
